With 20% more power than the already mighty DB1.3 this new DB1.4 model offers the enthusiast a further step up in output and performance. Retaining the best features like 0 AWG (8.25mm) power terminals and relatively compact dimensions this beast is sure to impress. Using an even larger oversized Class D power supply the DB1.4 uses the same architecture as its smaller sibling for bigger kicks and further extended low tones. The DB1.4 is also able to be run at 16v if you have an advanced power set up. You can make the most of this and enjoy even more power output from your amplifier. The DB1.4 is a competition grade mono-block amp for serious bass installs and is perfect for driving our larger woofers. Also included is the new remote control with voltage display. Throughout Europe the DB1.3 has become the go-to choice of avantegard enthusiasts who want enormous power with reliablity, repeatability and great value - we believe that the DB1.4 will provide a similar benchmark at a slightly higher level of price and performance.

Version History

Prototype - 2 built in 2013. Both were disappointing, with heavy distortion and less power than expected. No production was undertaken as the design was felt to be below our standard. In Q2 2017 our Chinese engineer flew to London an met with us to discuss this model amongst other things. We were able to leverage the design of our award winning DB1.3 into a more powerful unit with absolutely no difficulties. Note that for technical reasons the remote control does not include the clip light facility present in the DB1.3 (This is scheduled for an update hopefully for our next version). Delivery was made on schedule to our warehouse Q3 2017 for first customer deliveries.
