The SPL6C.2 component speakers are a tour de force of sound reproduction technology. With a full 40mm voice coil they are primed to deliver terrific mid bass response. Lightweight construction allows them to deliver finesse as well as power. A massive magnet structure might make it a little less easy to fit but the trade off is excellent transient response and better dynamics. The tweeters are pure silk domes which are outfitted with Neodymium magnets keeping the size down and the power capabilities right up. We use silk done tweeters throughout our whole range of speakers apart from the bullet tweeters because silk gives a more natural response than the harshness that can sometimes be present in plastic or mylar domes. This of course is more expensive but it has been paid for by not printing pretty pictures on our packing boxes and by not including printed instructions (instead get your up to the minute instruction pack at our website). This is just one example of how we have optimised our products to give you the best possible performance for you money which is something we feel very strongly about. Big motors, stiffer steel baskets, tweaks to the cone for increased stiffness and larger more powerful magnets are the key to the increased performance of the latest model. Detail adjustments such as tighter tolerances on crossover components ensures that we get the same high quality reproduction on every pair made and deliver consistency to the end user.
