Introducing the Bassface SPL8M.2NEO – Professional series product for professional and automotive applications, where an extremely high power, high output, small form factor driver is required. This overbuilt heavy duty driver was designed to provide extreme output and super sound quality in one driver. A strong cast basket eliminates distortion caused by flex and resonances in the basket assembly and the 2″ High temperature voice coil is supported buy a triple roll treated cloth surround and a heavy duty cloth spider. A dimpled textured surface to the cone acts to increase the effective piston area, in turn moving more air, creating more SPL. This is the top of the range version sporting a Neodymium N38 magnet for perfect musicality, tone and performance. From every angle this product screams quality, and delivers. With integrated Faraday Ring on the VC for optimal response these are great for small or large door builds in car or in the studio in a 2 way mid top box with an appropriate tweeter and crossover. You only have to look at the spec to understand what these are capable of – 250w RMS per woofer. These need properly amplifying with dedicated amp channels. We suggest 500-1000w RMS per pair. An amp with 250w RMS per channel at 4 ohm would be acceptable but 500w RMS is where you will see these speakers really come into their own. This is the 4 Ohm version.

Version History

The V1 of this high end driver is based upon the V2 of the SPL8M.2.4 (which means it is effectively based on the V3 of the original 8 ohm version of the 8M.2) - this means that the tinsel leads are sewn in to the spider and the cone material is lighter and stiffer version than before. The faraday rings remain, the cast basket remains but on this version the magnet is an ultimate specification Neodymium unit. Available Q4 2018>.
